Wayne Moore
Wayne has a long career in the automotive industry graduating from technical school in 1995. A few years ago, he transitioned from a technician to our office as a service advisor. He is likely the friendly voice you hear when calling for service and making appointments. He is ASE certified. Wayne joined our team in 1999 and is very committed to your service needs making sure the process was just as expected from start to finish. Wayne looks forward to his weekly family night out including gaming with his son.
Tyler Joy
Tyler is Mark and Annette’s oldest son of three boys, born into the automotive business. He comes with previous auto body experience from his high school days and parts house experience which have turned into automotive skills, working here since 2002. He has a huge following and strives to get the cars fixed right the first time. He is taking after his grandfather and father’s footsteps in the auto industry. Tyler loves to golf on his days off and recently got his second hole in one!
Evert Shiever
Evert has many years of experience in the automotive industry, graduating from Cowley County Community College at the top of his class. Working for dealerships in the past, he joined our team in 2009, providing us with years of excellent service. Evert has his customers asking for him by name. He is ASE certified. Evert enjoys building rat rod cars from the ground up in his spare time. He also has a huge garden with his wife in the summer months. They keep busy with their 4 grandchildren.
Travis Joy
Travis Joy is Mark and Annette’s middle son and an essential part of the family business. He first joined the team part time in 2012, helping in the office while also working full time as a Chef De Cuisine—where he showcased his remarkable talent for creating unforgettable dishes. In 2021, Travis transitioned to a full time role with the family business. Today, he supports the office and assists with all your automotive needs. His strong attention to detail and commitment to excellent service make him a trusted resource for customers and coworkers alike. And don’t worry—his culinary skills are still very much alive. The team loves when he surprises them with homemade treats. Outside of work, Travis and his wife stay busy with their two energetic children, who keep their days full and active.
Austin Cessna
We’re excited to welcome Austin Cessna to the Joy’s family. Austin came on board in November 2025 and brings valuable experience as a lube tech, service writer, and technician. His passion for working on vehicles shows in the quality and care he puts in daily. Outside the shop, Austin enjoys rebuilding cars and motorcycles just for fun, which makes him a great addition to our team. Say hello and help us welcome him when you stop by for your next service.
Carroll Joy
Carroll Joy started Joy’s Service Center in the 1960’s and proudly served west Wichita for many years before retiring in 1996. Back in the day, Joy’s started as a small repair center with full service gas pumps. You could even get gas pumped and your windows cleaned by a small boy named, Mark Joy. In the 1980’s, it became a full-service auto repair center, no longer offering fuel but just top notch service. Carroll Joy passed in March of 2021. He was our mentor and founder and he will always be remembered as JoyBoy32. Thank you for the legacy you created. We hope we make you proud!
